Description (from the official listing)
The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to support research and/or preclinical development of highly efficacious vaccines against malaria - one of the deadliest mosquito-borne diseases - by capitalizing on recent technological innovations, particularly in structure-based immunogen design, improved formulations, and combination vaccines. The goal is to achieve long-lasting, highly effective protection that can save lives, strengthen public health security in the United States, and serve as a model for, or are potentially effective against, other mosquito-borne diseases.
