Public data API

A free, read-only JSON API for AI assistants, agents, and developers. It returns only public program data — never interviews, reports, payment details, or personal information.

  • Rate limit: 60 requests per minute per client. Responses include caching headers.
  • Stable IDs: program IDs (e.g. gg-357305) are stable; gg- = Grants.gov opportunity ID.
  • Attribution: data originates from Grants.gov. Always link users to official_url and show last_verified_at.
  • Commercial licensing (higher limits, keys, SLAs) is planned. Contact details will be published.

Parameters: q, audience (business|nonprofit), focus, category, agency, type (G|CA|PC|O), status (posted|forecasted), deadline (14|30|60|90), state (two-letter, state named in title), sort (deadline|newest|amount), page, per_page (≤100).
